Highway Patrol of Merced says they found over $100,000 that they believe was going to be used through the black market.
Those investigating the case mention that this all happened after a routine traffic stop of a white Subaru where both the passenger and driver were seen to be possibly committing illegal acts.
Merced CHP had their canine dog, “Beny” sniff around the car for drugs and Beny sensed that there possibly were drugs in the white Subaru.
Once the car was searched, Merced Highway Patrol let the public know that they found about $108k sealed in air-tight packages. It’s believe by investigators that the suspects were on their way to buy large amounts of marijuana from the black market. The money was seized by CHP.
